The Marine Police Bureau in Suffolk County, NY is a 15,000 square foot facility that houses the equipment and law enforcement professionals who keep the 1,000 miles of coastline safe for 1.4 million county residents. In order for vehicles to enter the facility for maintenance, a large bay door must be opened, thus allowing outside air to sweep through the main part of the bureau's first floor. The 30-year old, oil-fired, hydronic modular boilers that fed unit heaters throughout the bureau were at the end of their useful lives. G.A. Fleet recommended AERCO, and the installation of a Benchmark 2.0 (BMK2.0) boiler proved an opportunity for the county to improve working conditions, as well as spend taxpayers' dollars more wisely.
AERCO International, regarded as the leader in the US for condensing and high-efficiency boiler systems, has expanded their line with both larger and smaller boiler systems. The BMK-3.0LN is a larger, even more efficient version of the proven Benchmark series. Now even the largest buildings can be equipped with the most cost-effective boiler plants, in the smallest footprint.
The Modulex line of condensing, modulating, modular boilers are provided as standard with pre-piped headers for gas, HWS&R, and exhaust. These incredibly small and quiet units even include full controls for pumps, modulating valves, and DHW generation already integrated into the standard on-board controller.
Raychem introduces their Quicknet line of floor heating mats, to join their existing RaySol floor heating cable solutions. QuickNet is the solution for thinset tile applications.
Construction requirements and expectations for vendors in the 21st century are already a departure from business as usual. Green buildings, integrated system design, commissioning and electronic communication are the new "standards" in design. GA Fleet represents the manufacturers who pioneered many of these concepts as far back as the 1980s. Coupled with our in-house engineering and real-world service experience (most of our key personnel have been specializing in their markets for over 20 years), we know what does and doesn't work, and what is available on the market to provide the performance and reliability that owners, CMs, engineers and contractors require.
Our Start-Up Services Group is regarded as the finest in the industry. Typically on-site by 6 a.m., our technicians are in constant communication with our engineers and manufacturers, and are usually connected by Nextel to our contractor customers, the GCs and the CMs. Our deep commitment is obvious on every project, from design through startup and commissioning.
